Are Introduction...

Royal Oak is a London Underground station that is on the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines between Paddington and Westbourne Park.

The station was opened in 1871 and named after a local pub. The station appears in the film Kidulthood and is mentioned in the Peter Ackroyd novel, Chatterton.

The area plays host to a nighclub, Shimmy, that features a Scrabble tiled bar, staff in Twenties style dress and vintage porn wallpaper and peepholes in the toilet.

The Daniel Gooch pub services traditional pub food and the usual beers and spirits as well as having live bands, fruit machines, a darts board and pool table.
