Arthritis and High Heels
Be careful of those heels.
We have just come across the article of the BBC website about how wearing high heels can cause arthritis. The article is about how wearing high heels can lead to Arthritis. It's not some shocking breakthrough in science that has discovered this. Arthritis can develop from any constant and regular strain on many other parts of the body including hands, knees, fingers. I knew one person who worked in a furniture manufacturing factory. His job all day was to drill the screws into the furniture frame. After six months of doing this he started to get pain and stiffness in the hand he used to fire in the screws. He went to the Doctor who told him he had developed arthritis.
He decided to get regular massage of his hand from a therapist and after 2 years of doing regular hand exercises and massage his hand came back to normal full functioning use and the stiffness came down to normal levels where it didn't cause him any problems. So if you do wear high heels and feel that your feet are getting a bit stiff then definitely start getting regular foot massage to keep all the tendons and muscles relaxed.
